I came to Miyagase Dam in Kiyokawa Village, Kanagawa Prefecture. The number of visitors in 2015 reached 1.6 million, and the dam is the most visited tourist dam in Japan.

It has become a hot topic when the amount of water stored in the Miyagase dam has decreased and the roads and signboards sinking in the dam are visible. I looked into it, and at the end of July it recorded a record low of 55%.

I’m not good at the latest information, but my friend told me about the situation. I went to see the situation!!

To MiyagaseCohan Park! !

After eating soft ice cream on the ranch
I went to MiyagaseCohan Park, famous for its huge Christmas tree with a total length of 30m.

Here you can see the entire dam lake. Well, the amount of water stored is still small. I could see the power poles and roads that were usually sinking in the water.

And to the rumored place! ! !

When I drove along the dam lake, many cars were parked on the street. There is also illegal parking on the bridge and one-way traffic.

It ’s good to be noted. However, I wanted to protect morals. I park in a safe place and go to see the scene.

I can really see the road and nameplates that have really sunk into the lake. And the dry ground is cracked. It seems that the bridge was visible when it was more dry.

According to the information, the compensation negotiation was concluded in 1984. Over 1000 people moved and 300 houses were submerged.

It has been soaked in water for over 30 years and it feels strange to have come out in the present age.

I feel awkward beauty even though I feel a little sad. My sensibility has been trained this time, but if the amount of stored water is still low, people will run out of water, so I pray that it will rain.

Miyagase Dam is a spot that can be enjoyed by families on weekends. For example, host a powerful water release event, have a picnic on the vast lawn, or eat delicious food in a water town shopping street. And a huge Christmas tree is lit up at Christmas.

Next time I will shoot such a happy photo and make it into an article.

I am photographing the wonderful scenery and activities of Japan.
Japan may be a distant country for you…
However, I want to create a site that makes you feel that you are actually traveling!!
