“Nomizo Falls” A famous photo spot on social media‼︎
This rock cave is a man-made cave that was cut off from the main river to create paddy fields around 1660 (Edo period) more than 350 years ago.
It is a spot that became a hot topic on social media because a heart symbol appears in the cave.
If you look at it from the side when the sun shines diagonally, it becomes a heart mark.
So there is a fixed time to see it.
Relatively strict conditions to see the heart‼︎
When the sun shines into the cave and you see it from the side, it looks like a heart.
In order to become a heart mark, it seems that you can not see it unless you go early in the morning from 6:30 to 7:30 in March and September.
That’s a pretty tough requirement.
If you look at other people’s past blogs, there are pictures of many people taking pictures on the river. However, it seems that someone slipped and got injured in the past.
Therefore, it is now prohibited to enter the river.
Everyone got the name wrong!?
This place became famous as NomizoFalls, but actually this place is called Kameiwa Cave.
The real NomizoFalls are small waterfalls a little downstream from here.
At this place, you can see fireflies, enter the hot springs, and buy souvenirs‼︎
There is a wooden promenade at the end of Kameiwa Cave where fireflies can be seen from late May to late August.
Since this place is a famous tourist spot, there are parking lots from the first to the third parking lot, all of which can be parked for free.
There is also a bus parking space, and it was crowded with many tourists, including tourists.
In addition, souvenirs, restaurants, and even hot springs can be entered.

I just wanted to say that I love how you emphasized Sakura as a flower that represents the Japanese thinking and way of living. I even learned the word 儚い (hakanai). It’s such a wonderful word. I think the word “ephemeral” in English is quite similar to what 儚い means. It’s short-lived but beautiful. Sakura is hakanai or ephemeral. So are humans.🌸💗
