In Chiba prefecture, 10 kilometers from Chosi city to Asahi city coast is a cliff with a height of 40m to 50m.
The landscape is called Byobugaura and was designated as a natural monument in 2016.
Ukiyoe, which is a rare sight in Japan and has been famous as a scenic spot since the Edo period, was also drawn.
The cliffs are very fragile and most are off limits. However, it is a promenade from Choshi Marina and can be seen from below.
Unfortunately, only about half of the promenade can be reached due to the impact of the earthquake.
The parking lot of Choshi Marina is free, and many people enjoy surfing.
The top of the cliff is a city-owned land and you can go there with permission. It is also famous as a location for commercials, dramas, and promotional videos.
In recent years, it seems that some people enter without permission because they want to post photos on SNS. Obey the rules and etiquette as it is dangerous on the cliff.

Chiba prefecture is famous for natural activities such as surfing, glamping and golf, and the seafood is delicious. Good access from Tokyo. And there are many spots with such wonderful scenery.
