❷Nostalgic pier with a retro Showa feel.

Haraoka Pier juts out into Tomiura Bay between Haraoka Coast and Tadara Kitahama Coast. This wooden pier has a retro, nostalgic feel, as if it was used in a scene from a youth drama from the Showa era. At dusk, the lights come on and the area has a somewhat nostalgic atmosphere.

➁【Tateyama Sunset Pier】 Japan’s longest pier!! ︎

Tateyama Sunset Pier is a pier located in Tateyama, Tateyama City, Chiba Prefecture. Tateyama Sunset Pier is pronounced “Tateyama Yuhi Sanbashi”. The official name is “Tateyama Port Multipurpose Tourist Pier,” and its nickname is Tateyama Sunset Pier. The origin of the nickname was determined through applications from all over the country. Tateyama Sunset Pier was chosen because it allowed you to confine yourself to Tateyama and because you could imagine the beautiful sunset over Tateyama Bay.

❶Longest pier in Japan‼︎

Tateyama Sunset Pier is characterized by being the longest pier in Japan. It is 500m from the coastline to the coast. It is the longest pier in Japan. By the way, a pier is a passage that juts out into the sea for docking ships, boarding and disembarking passengers, and loading and unloading cargo.

❷It is a wonderful sunset spot.

Tateyama Sunset Pier, as its name suggests, is the best sunset spot. Tateyama Sunset Pier is not only long, but also faces west, so you can see a beautiful sunset just by looking straight ahead. Also, since Mt. Fuji is located exactly where the sun sets, you can see Mt. Fuji colored by the setting sun.

By the way, in early May and early August, you can see Diamond Fuji, where the sun sets over the top of Mt. Fuji, so if you’re looking to take photos or videos, it’s especially recommended to take photos during this time. ➂【Obomisaki Natural Park】 You can enjoy nature through camping‼︎

Cape Daibusa Natural Park is a natural park located in Tadara, Tomiura-cho, Minamiboso City, Chiba Prefecture. Cape Daibusa Natural Park is a park where you can fully enjoy the forest and sea, with a total length of about 2 km and an area of 41.3 hectares, which is about the size of eight Tokyo Domes.

Therefore, you can tour the ruins of artillery batteries and wartime weapons depots, making it a coveted tour of military facilities for military fans.

④Nojimazaki, Minamibōsō Quasi-National Park — Where Light Meets the Edge of the Land‼︎

At the southernmost tip of the Bōsō Peninsula, the land seems to stretch its limbs toward the ocean, forming a unique coastal shape. At its far end lies Nojimazaki Park, part of Minamibōsō Quasi-National Park — a rare cape where you can witness both sunrise and sunset from the very same place.

Before dawn, the horizon is wrapped in a cool, quiet blue. By midday, clear sunlight spills over the rocks and shoreline. And as evening approaches, the entire landscape slips gently into a golden glow. Standing there, you feel as though you’re traveling through different worlds without ever taking a single step.

❶The Lone White Bench on the Rocks — “The Lovers’ Bench”

One symbol of Nojimazaki is the solitary white bench placed atop the rugged shoreline.

Often called “The Edge-of-the-World Bench” or “The Lovers’ Bench,” it’s known as a romantic spot where couples who sit together are said to be blessed with happiness.

When you stand before it, the open sea and endless sky spread out in front of you, floating like a quiet vision of the future. During the day, layers of blue stretch into infinity. At sunset, the world slowly melts into warm amber. And once night falls — with little light pollution around — the Milky Way appears overhead, illuminating the bench like a stage.

Many popular photos on social media featuring “the Milky Way and the white bench” were captured right here, born from the harmony between this landscape and its shifting light. The bench sits on uneven natural rocks, so wearing comfortable shoes is recommended.

❷The Shining White “Nojimazaki Lighthouse” — A Swan Guiding the Sea.

Another highlight is Nojimazaki Lighthouse, selected as one of Japan’s 50 notable lighthouses.
First lit in 1869, it is Japan’s second-oldest Western-style lighthouse and is designated as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property. Its brilliant white exterior is so graceful that people affectionately call it “the Swan Lighthouse.” The attached museum offers a chance to learn about its history and view the massive French-made lens that once cast its guiding beam across the sea.
