”Egawa Coast”, a superb view of the lost power poles on the water‼︎
“Egawa Coast” in Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture.
This place has become famous on social media as a rare sight of utility poles standing on tidal flats, known as the “Marine Utility Pole”.
However, the utility pole has already been removed in 2019 because it is already unused, aged and dangerous.
Although it was for safety reasons, it was a popular photo spot that many people visited because it was said to be “the Uyuni salt lake in Kanto” and “a superb view like Ghibli”, so I feel a little disappointed.
However, the Egawa coast is currently attractive as a photo spot, such as the night view of factories and the beautiful collaboration of sunset and tidal flats.
You can also enjoy clam digging along the surrounding coasts, including the Egawa coast.

Although it is not as famous as the Egawa coast, there are still utility poles on the neighboring Kutsuma coast, so you can still enjoy the scenery of the “sea utility poles”.
If you come to the area, please visit the Egawa coast and Kutsuma coast.
