“Ubara Utopia” overlooking the beautiful sea!!

After passing through the hand-carved tunnel and climbing the stairs, you will arrive at this open area. There are several viewing areas, and I think you can visit them all in about an hour and a half.

During the Taisho era, there were plans to turn this area into a villa area, which is why it came to be called “Ubara Utopia.” It is a ria-style coastline, and is a spot where you can overlook the sheer cliffs and the beautiful sea.

It was a beautiful place where you could forget about everyday life. This place is said to be a haunted spot.
I didn’t feel anything special, but it was so beautiful that it had a mystical atmosphere.
Parking is free and there are no entrance fees, so it’s a must-visit spot when you’re in Katsuura.

“Katsuura Underwater”Park where you can peek into the sea‼︎

This place is like a base floating offshore, and you can see the underwater scenery from the window! It’s a natural aquarium. It’s an exciting place like a submarine or a secret base.
There is also a museum where you can learn about marine life and buy souvenirs.
The entrance fee has an interesting price structure that changes depending on the transparency of the sea at that time.
By the way, the entrance fees when the visibility is high are as follows.

Adult (over high school students) 960 yen
Junior (elementary / junior high school) 470 yen
Child (Infant over 4 years old) 210 yen

I am photographing the wonderful scenery and activities of Japan.
Japan may be a distant country for you…
However, I want to create a site that makes you feel that you are actually traveling!!
